One of the most prolific acts on the dark electro-industrial scene, :wumpscut released an EP entitled ‘Schlossgheist’ in late March. Featuring eight tracks (four new songs and four instrumentals), it acts as a tantalizing trailer for ‘Tanz Den Tod’, a full studio album due out in early June.

:wumpscut was founded in the early ‘90s by German musician Rudy Ratzinger, who subsequently blazed a trail through his genre with an especially hard-edged gothic-tinged sound initially influenced by the likes of Leæther Strip. Having retired the project in 2016 after releasing 14 studio albums and numerous singles/EPs, he returned in 2021 and has been as active as before with a slew of releases and reissues.
